BMW X6 F16: Striking Looks, Steep Price of Ownership

The car is as beautiful as it is expensive to maintain. Starting from 100,000 km, costly visits to authorized service centers begin. Better to think twice before buying. I also have a GLC from the same year, admittedly a 2.2 Diesel, but it's a rocket; only oil and filter changes. BMW brake pads last 20,000 km, discs a maximum of 40,000 km, and the cost is 7-10 thousand! For discs! Oil changes are 3,000! AC costs 17,000! Full set of tires is 8-10 thousand! Failures and leaks from the rear axle cost 8,000, oil pan seepages 5,000. Now the engine has failed.

Pros: Beautiful design
Cons: Extremely expensive maintenance, Frequent expensive repairs, High cost of parts (pads, discs, tires), Costly AC repair, Engine failure at higher mileage

BMW X6 F16: A Revelation!

An absolutely sensational car! The handling is breathtaking. It sticks to corners like glue on the 20" wheels. Despite being a 30d engine, the driving pleasure is immense. The H&K sound system is superb. Clean dynamics are good. Material quality is also beyond reproach. The car doesn't make such an impression until you drive it more dynamically. It looks like a big elephant but drives like a nimble puma. I hesitated before buying the Macan, XC90, X5, Q7, and MB GLE Coupe. BMW won, and it will be the same next time.

Pros: Breathtaking handling, Immense driving pleasure, Superb sound system, Excellent dynamics, High-quality materials, Nimble for its size
Cons: Appearance might be polarizing initially

BMW X6 F16 Review

Excellent car, reliable, dynamic, and surprisingly economical. I considered the Q7, X5, and Grand Cherokee, and avoided the X6 because its styling seemed controversial. Ultimately, I received the best offer for the X6, and that decided it. And I haven't regretted it once. Contrary to appearances, the car turned out to be very versatile. The trunk is very large with room to spare (appearances can be deceiving), and the lack of a rear wiper (noted as a flaw in every test) is not a problem at all. The car drives fantastically, handles well

Pros: Reliable, Dynamic, Economical, Versatile, Spacious trunk
Cons: Controversial styling
