C3 III: A Commuter's Delight

A well-executed example, attractive inside and out. Comfortable for journeys, ideal for point-to-point travel, especially daily commutes. Lacks power for high-speed roads and highways. However, its excellent fuel economy, thanks to the 1.2 PureTech 82 engine, is a significant advantage.

Pros: Attractive interior and exterior design, Comfortable for travel, Excellent fuel economy
Cons: Insufficient power for highways and fast roads

Citroen C3 III: A Disappointing Experience

Generally, I do not recommend this car. I bought it new from the dealership, the top-of-the-line C3 Shine with a 1.6 diesel engine (99 HP). It's evident Citroen is cutting corners wherever possible – there isn't even a plastic insert on the driver's side floor mat to prevent soiling, which is standard in other cars. The seatbelts jam, bulbs burn out (two already weren't working when the car left the showroom, but I didn't realize), the display freezes, the rear doors jam, etc. But...

Pros: Top-of-the-line Shine trim
Cons: Citroen cutting corners on features, Jamming seatbelts, Burning out bulbs, Freezing display, Jamming rear doors, Lack of basic protection on floor mats

C3 III

For me, only the look and color are a plus, maybe the fuel consumption too. Otherwise, poor visibility in front of the hood on both sides – the A-pillars are so shaped that they obscure pedestrians approaching the road. I have three other cars (Renaults) and don't have this problem with them. Side visibility is also problematic for tall people, because when you move the seat back to get a comfortable driving position, you end up with your head close to the wide B-pillar.

Pros: Attractive design and color, Good fuel economy
Cons: Poor forward visibility due to A-pillars, Limited side visibility for tall drivers
