C4 iii Review

This is what I expected from a compact car, bravo. I didn't expect trouble changing lanes, specifically crossing lines; it can jolt the steering wheel (narrow tire crosses paint line), a dangerous situation. With 18-inch rims, only 195/60 R18 tires are approved. There are also 16-inch wheels, but they are only approved for the base version. Of course, only Michelin and Goodyear produce tires in the approved size, price per unit R850 to R1150, bravo. I asked at the service center...

Pros: Excellent compact car performance
Cons: Steering wheel jolts when crossing lane lines, Limited approved tire sizes for 18-inch rims, Expensive approved tires (Michelin/Goodyear), 16-inch wheels only for base version

C4 III

So far, I've had two new VW Tiguans, three Nissan Qashqais, and an X-Trail. Contrary to appearances, all these cars have similar wheelbases, ground clearances, and interior sizes. I drive a lot (around 40,000 km annually) for both work and leisure/travel. Hence, a diesel. The new C4 is a pleasant surprise – this car is simply 200-300 kg lighter than the mentioned ones, which immediately caught my attention. Good aerodynamics and reduced weight translate into absolutely fantastic real-world economy. The car consumes 5 liters per 100km.

Pros: Excellent real-world fuel economy, Noticeably lighter than competitors, Good aerodynamics
Cons: None mentioned

C4 III Review

The engine is truly flexible, perfectly suited to the car in my opinion. The car drives lightly and starts off great, the engine handles itself well even at low RPMs. The suspension is simply amazing. I know this isn't a premium segment car, but neither is the price. Overall, it's hard to find a car that matches the C4; I won't argue with anyone who disagrees, this is my honest, individual opinion. I also have a KIA X_CEED at work, and even though the C4 has fewer horsepower, it's not that far behind in performance.

Pros: Flexible and well-matched engine, Light handling and smooth starts, Impressive suspension
Cons: Not a premium segment car
