Citroën Xantia II
Out of over 20 cars I've owned in 20 years, I remember the Xantia best. I drove it for 7 years, bought it from my father when it had 120,000 km, and I drove it for another 140,000 km. This model was bought new in Poland. 1. Appearance. The older Xantias, the more I like them. Cozy, elegant interior. Despite minor chips or scuffs, no corrosion appeared anywhere, even though the car drove for 9 years in sun, rain, and on salted roads. The steering wheel showed wear around 180,000 km.
Pros:
Timeless styling, especially on older models, Comfortable and elegant interior, Excellent rust resistance
Cons:
Steering wheel wear

Citroën Xantia II: A Comfortable Cruiser
The Citroën Xantia II is incredibly comfortable. The seats are soft and the suspension is phenomenal, like a fairy tale. The hydropneumatic system makes the Xantia glide over bumps. It's sensational for four people, with plenty of legroom and a comfortable armrest. Even with five, it's not tragic. The build quality is decent, with many pleasant materials. It's great that many Xantias are well-equipped – air conditioning and electric mirrors are very common. The only annoyance is the performance of the 110 hp 2.0 HDI engine.
Pros:
Extremely comfortable seats and suspension, Hydropneumatic system glides over bumps, Spacious for four, good legroom, Often well-equipped (AC, electric mirrors)
Cons:
Performance of the 110hp 2.0 HDI engine is a drawback

Citroën Xantia II Review
Definitely one of the most enjoyable and comfortable used cars for a decent price, offering immense travel comfort through its very good suspension and comfortable seats. The factory sound system is truly superb. The trunk is spacious, and there's plenty of room inside, including on the rear bench. The brakes are unique: the pedal has a short travel and only needs a light press for the car to start braking. It takes a little getting used to, but I consider it a plus because it reduces leg fatigue.
Pros:
Excellent comfort and ride quality, Superb factory sound system, Spacious interior and trunk
Cons:
Unique brake pedal feel requires adaptation

Citroën Xantia II: A Reliable Companion
8 years with the Xantia II, only two issues: cooling system leaked once, fuel pump in the tank failed once. That's it. Comfort and handling are truly top-notch. It can carry 300 kg in the trunk and still maintain its level. Plenty of space inside and a capacious boot. Fuel consumption is 5.5 L on the highway, max 7 L. Driven in Hungary and the mountains. Engine performance is adequate. Not a rocket, but acceleration at any speed is decent, allowing for safe overtakes. Plus, the car is much more attractive than many newer models. The seats and...
Pros:
Excellent comfort and handling, Spacious interior and large boot, Good load capacity, Decent fuel economy, Attractive design
Cons:
Cooling system leaked once, Fuel pump failed once

Xantia II: Underrated Gem
An exceptionally underrated car in Poland, finding a well-maintained example is difficult now. My Xantia has been in the family since 2003, first registered in 2000. When it appeared in 2003, many didn't know what it was or what it could do. Today, compared to modern cars, the Xantia is remarkably economical. Most engine parts are shared with the Peugeot 406. The cost of replacing discs/pads or stabilizer links is incomparably low for the comfort this French Citroen offers.
Pros:
Exceptionally comfortable ride., Remarkably economical for its class., Cost-effective maintenance parts.
Cons:
Finding a well-maintained example is very difficult., Unfamiliarity with the model in Poland.
