Duster II
Car-like product, ergonomics like an 80s car. Obscure dashboard with poor ergonomics. A Polonez would be a peak of luxury compared to this. Ride comfort lags behind European cars. Even a 2004 Golf V offers significantly higher comfort, not to mention the engine, which is sluggish and loud. I don't know why this car is popular; it's clunky, fuel-hungry, oversteers, handles poorly, and offers no driving pleasure. Driving over 110 km/h in this vehicle...

Duster II
A good car for the money. It has minor issues but has never failed during use. A compromise between quality and price. Good handling despite its large body and ground clearance. It can get out of mud and snow where other cars can't, but it's not suitable for tougher terrain (at least without 4WD). The interior in the facelift is quite pleasant, though delicate and prone to damage. Comfortable seats even for longer journeys. Unfortunately, the engine range is definitely too weak for this car.
Pros:
Excellent value for money, Good handling for its size, Impressive off-road capability (light terrain), Comfortable seats for long trips
Cons:
Minor drawbacks exist, Delicate interior, prone to damage, Underpowered engine options

Extreme version, fully equipped. After 3 years and 80,000 km in various conditions, I can finally give my opinion. I try to be objective. I know it's not the most expensive car in its segment, but rather a budget one. However, price can't justify everything. In exchange for the low price, we get compromises like poor interior quality, media system, seats, and overall finish. Would I buy this car again? Back then...
Pros:
Affordable price point
Cons:
Low interior quality, Mediocre multimedia system, Uncomfortable seats, Subpar overall finish

Problem: Timing Belt
Interior comfort, quiet operation. Engine sufficiently powerful and quiet for daily use. LPG budget lower than diesel, even for high-mileage drivers! I bought my new Duster LPG at the end of 2020 and I'm delighted! I drive 50,000 km per year and consume 7l/100 of LPG! But with economical and smooth driving. And I drive at 90 km/h on the N12 between Dreux and Vélizy. After the engine break-in, I drove at 110 on the N12 and consumed 9l/100kms, then I
Pros:
Interior comfort and quiet operation., Adequate and quiet engine for daily use., LPG cost is lower than diesel, even for high mileage., Delighted with my new Duster LPG purchased end of 2020., Low LPG consumption (7l/100km) with economical driving.
Cons:
Dashboard looks dated compared to the new Dacia Jogger interior., Fuel gauge updated under warranty by Dacia Gueudet Evreux.

Problem: DPF / FAP
Very well-equipped car, comfortable to drive. Unfortunately, it breaks down constantly. In under 15,000 km, the bills exceeded €20,000. While covered by warranty, in 6 months of ownership, I only had the car for 3 months. Problems included: GPL injection, GPL computer, GPL distribution, GPL tank, and DPF replacement.
Pros:
Very well-equipped and comfortable to drive.
Cons:
Constant breakdowns with extremely high repair costs within a short period., Significant downtime due to repairs, limiting actual usage., Multiple issues with GPL system (injection, computer, distribution, tank) and DPF.

2,800 km
Problem: Air Conditioning
No breakdowns to date. AC compressor (management) totally messed up. Blows super cold but is managed like garbage by the ECU. A disaster not justified by the so-called 'Low Cost' aspect of the vehicle. Starting after a gas trip, hot engine. As if the vehicle restarted directly on gas instead of initially switching to petrol. Not serious but surprising at first.
Pros:
Super comfortable on the road and in the city! Steering is smooth and the car is very agile. Comfort is good., Good damping despite slight body roll (it is quite high on its wheels!)., Trunk is plenty big enough for a vacation!, Rear seats are comfortable and spacious., Engine is relatively quiet. You can hear its rumble on acceleration, but it's...
Cons:
The 3-cylinder engine, despite excellent work by Dacia/Renault to smooth it out, retains its nervous low-end origins, causing some jerks when shifting gears, for example., AC compressor (management) totally messed up. Blows super cold but is managed like garbage by the ECU. A disaster not justified by the 'Low Cost' aspect of the vehicle., Starting after a gas trip, hot engine. As if the vehicle restarted directly on gas instead of initially switching to petrol. Not serious but surprising at first.

35,000 km
Problem: Corrosion
The car suffers from rapid rust on the exhaust. Some models have a noisy wastegate rod during acceleration, which can be reduced with Dacia reprogramming. The mineral gearbox oil is low quality. GPL maintenance requires filter changes at 30,000 km and 60,000 km. I recommend changing the oil every 10,000 km for city driving.
Pros:
Combined range: 1) 1300 km (600 km GPL, 700 km SP98) on national roads., 2) 1200 km (550 km GPL, 650 km SP98) in city., 3) 1050 km (450 km GPL, 600 km SP98) on highway at 130 km/h (real speed)., Comfortable., Economical maintenance (if avoiding dealerships)., Indirect injection (no high-pressure pump, fewer bars in the engine, cheaper injectors to replace than direct injection).
Cons:
Small 1.0 three-cylinder engine., Engine with timing chain (costly to replace)., Low torque (sufficient for daily use, but requires gear shifting)., Noise at 130 km/h is bearable but could be better., Rapid rust on the exhaust., On some models, the wastegate rod makes noise on acceleration., The oil passage for the chain tensioner can get clogged., Low-quality mineral gearbox oil (replaced with synthetic oil)., Specific GPL maintenance (filter changes at 30,000 km and 60,000 km).
