Problem: Battery

2012 model, valve cover and gearbox leak replaced under warranty, battery too weak, charged at my expense. Vis protection plaque moteur 2 broken by Dacia who can't do anything to repair, known and common problem on duster. Lack of seriousness from the Renault group to solve problems.

Pros: Pleasant vehicle to drive

Very Good - Duster

Excellent car overall. However, the Dacia support and after-sales service are disappointing, especially the lack of a loaner vehicle during breakdowns. Average consumption is 10 liters/100km. The E85 version of the Duster has recurring issues: anti-pollution light blinking, engine sputtering, and acceleration restricted to 70 km/h during overtaking. This started a week after purchase and has persisted for 1.5 years with no solution, as everyone passes the buck.

Cons: Dacia customer service and after-sales; no loaner vehicle during breakdowns, average consumption 10 L/100km, E85 Duster: recurring E85 issues, anti-pollution light blinking, engine sputtering, acceleration stuck at 70 km/h during overtaking; started a week after purchase and unresolved for 1.5 years.

Problem: Air Conditioning

Good price-to-interior/trunk volume ratio, 5 real seats, mechanical simplicity and reasonable maintenance costs because the vehicle has no air conditioning. Noise for such a recent vehicle. Varnish peeling on the white roof. Paint on grey sheet metal rims peeling off and rims showing corrosion. Non-split rear bench. Basic seat comfort. Lack of AC adds to road noise above 130 km/h or in high winds. Front windows vibrate.

Problem: Battery
