Logan II: A Surprisingly Good Value

I used this car from new as a company vehicle. Before picking it up, I already had a preconceived notion, based on all the Dacia critics who hadn't seen the car but condemned it to failure based solely on its price. However, what turned out? For its price, the car is great, simply well-valued. After driving over 50,000 km, I was only further convinced. I no longer have the car, but the conclusions remain in my mind, and I'm considering buying my first new car – precisely [this model].

Pros: Excellent value for money, Well-priced, Reliable after extensive use
Cons: Preconceived negative opinions from critics, Potentially basic interior

Logan II: Spacious, Economical, and Well-Equipped

A great car, spacious with low city fuel consumption around 6 liters. Comfortable, soft seats and nice upholstery. Fully equipped with cruise control, armrest, electric rear windows, leather steering wheel and gear shifter, and parking sensors, all for under 39,000. The soft suspension is nice, and the enormous trunk exceeding 500l with an additional 60 liters under the carpet is a huge plus. The car is quiet up to 120 km/h after break-in, and surprisingly quiet below 100 km/h. The dynamic engine and its ~1-ton weight make it perform well.

Pros: Spacious interior, Low city fuel consumption (~6l), Comfortable, soft seats, Nice upholstery, Full equipment (cruise control, etc.), Soft suspension, Huge trunk (> 500l + extra), Quiet at speed, Dynamic engine, Good performance for its weight
Cons: Specific break-in period for optimal quietness

Logan II

A station wagon, its life on taxi duty, and that's all it's good for. The look is a disaster. The only car I've driven where mud collects in the fuel flap. I consider gas consumption of 10-11 liters a good result. Size-wise, it's manageable. The price is a massacre; this vehicle should cost no more than 30,000, not 51,000. Now for the pros and cons. The lever for lights and horn breaks easily. Poor turning radius. The car becomes unsafe above 120 km/h, behaving with a sway as if a truck were passing me.

Pros: Reasonable gas consumption, Manageable size
Cons: Terrible aesthetics, Mud collects in fuel flap, Tacky build quality (light/horn stalk), Poor turning radius, Unsafe at high speeds (over 120 km/h), Excessively priced

Logan II

The car looks interesting with its trim. It has SUV-like ground clearance. The trunk is very spacious. The equipment is decent enough: AC, 4 electric windows, cruise control, navigation, reverse camera, electric mirrors. It might not seem like much, but it’s sufficient. The plastics are rather weak, the seats are like sofas with no lateral support, and it only has a 5-speed gearbox. The 0.9 engine is funny but manageable for this car and economical too. You can achieve 6 L/100km of gas in city driving without traffic jams, 7.5 L/100km if driving...

Pros: Interesting appearance with trim, SUV-like ground clearance, Very spacious trunk, Decent equipment (AC, power windows, cruise control, navi, camera), Economical 0.9 engine
Cons: Weak plastics, Sofa-like seats, poor lateral support, Only 5-speed gearbox

Dacia Logan II

A Dacia car for those who like compromises. We have a relatively fresh car at a good price. For a 6-year-old car, 24,000 is not much. For this money, we can buy other cars, even better equipped, but at least a few years older. The question is whether to buy a 6-year-old Dacia for 23,000 or, for example, an Astra that is 12-14 years old. Or a Mondeo that is 16 years old. The interior plastics are weak but easy to keep clean. The seats have little adjustment but are resilient. The engine is only 0.9 and 3 cylinders, but it runs nicely, it's pleasant.

Pros: Good price for its age, Easy to keep clean interior, Resilient seats
Cons: Basic interior plastics, Limited seat adjustment, Small 3-cylinder engine

Dacia Logan II

A small B-segment car, but surprisingly spacious, perfect for a family with a child and stroller that fits in the ample trunk. The Stepway version looks attractive with increased ground clearance and stylish protective cladding. The interior is plastic-heavy, and the quality is rather cheap, but it's not tragic. Mine compensates with good equipment: automatic climate control, cruise control, limiter, 4 electric windows, electric mirrors, parking sensors, reverse camera, 7" screen, navigation, Android Auto.

Pros: Spacious trunk, Attractive Stepway styling, Good equipment for its class, Sufficient ground clearance
Cons: Cheap interior plastics, Basic material quality

Interior Noise Issues

The car appears reliable and robust, offering good comfort and space, with economical fuel consumption. It even has a full-size spare wheel available as an option. However, highway noise is a significant drawback, the trunk finish is basic, and the interior lighting is impractical. No major problems were reported.

Pros: Seemingly reliable and robust, Quite comfortable and spacious, Economical, A real spare wheel (optional)
Cons: Highway noise, Basic trunk finish, Impractical interior lighting
