Sandero i: Why Splurge?
Why be picky! Not long ago, the Polonez was good, the Golf iconic, and Audi 6 was a dream! What's changed? Today, everything is within reach (if you really want it). And the Dacia Sandero? It's a personal choice, no shame or hassle. No shoddy cars are made in Europe anymore. Opinions on Dacias are from the Ceausescu era. If you want a decent, cheap car without frills, Dacia is it.
Pros:
Affordable, Decent quality
Cons:
Lacks fancy features
Dacia Sandero I 1.2 (75 Hp) Hatchback
48,000 km
Issue: Transmission
No mechanical problems, low maintenance costs, and practical for everyday use. However, the seat fabric is of poor quality and already worn on the driver's side. The interior is basic but functional. A CV joint was replaced under warranty in the first year. Handling was average with original tires but excellent with new ones. Starting can be difficult sometimes, but the garage knows the cause even after changing the spark plugs. It's not a dramatic issue though.
Pros:
No mechanical issues, Affordable maintenance, Practical for everything
Cons:
Seat fabric poor quality, worn driver's side, Basic but functional interior, CV joint replaced under warranty first year, Average handling with original tires, good with new, Occasional starting difficulty, garage knows cause
Dacia Sandero I 1.2 (75 Hp) Hatchback
68,000 km
Problem: Power Steering
Reliable, economical, spacious trunk, good interior space. However, basic trim and lack of options like power steering are issues. Also experienced water ingress from the front passenger door, which has since disappeared.
Pros:
Reliability, Economical, Large trunk, Spacious interior
Cons:
Basic trim and lack of options (power steering...), Water ingress from front passenger door, now gone
Dacia Sandero I 1.2 (75 Hp) Hatchback
13,500 km
Problem: Flywheel
Issues with injection or flywheel? When disengaging, it's impossible without unstable slipping. Must be careful with hill starts or it stalls.
Pros:
Comfort, Cost (purchase/maintenance), Spaciousness, Handling
Cons:
Cheap plastic, Noisy and lazy engine, Poor body protection, Fuel consumption, Injection or flywheel issues? Clutch disengagement causes unstable slipping. Stalls on hill starts if not careful.

Problem: Power Steering
Issues with the power steering, specifically vagueness. Also, occasional starting problems, sometimes requiring a slight acceleration to restart.
Pros:

Cons:
