Uno II - A Solid Choice for the Price

Overall, considering the car we're talking about, it's not bad. Naturally, if compared to newer models, the rating would be lower. However, the fact is that for its price, this car is quite decent. It's perfectly suited for commuting to work and for short trips out of town, though I took it on longer journeys without any issues. The engine deserves praise, providing agile movement both in the city and on the highway, outperforming many newer models.

Pros: Good value for money, Capable engine for city and highway, Suitable for commuting and short trips, Reliable on longer journeys
Cons: Outdated compared to newer models

Uno II

Rather average car, negligible power, medium comfort, rather high fuel consumption for its displacement. Factory data states 8 liters in the city, but after a few years, mine reached 10. Despite this, repairs can be done DIY (very good manuals on fiatuno.pl and forum unofani.eev.pl) or by a mechanic for peanuts, parts are also very cheap. A few years ago, I hit a woman's rear in a traffic jam, I spent 500 PLN on repairs including parts (and essentially the entire front needed replacement: both headlights, the grille.

Pros: DIY repairs possible, Affordable parts and labor, Good online resources for repairs
Cons: Average performance, Mediocre comfort, High fuel consumption for its size

Uno ii - A Budget Introduction

Overall good. This is my first car, purchased for over 1000 PLN, so it's not perfect like new. Rust is showing significantly and the suspension needs work, but it's cheap to run and the engine is a strong point. In these 3 years of use, I've only replaced a CV joint, 2x wishbone ball joints, brake master cylinder and lines, the rear muffler, alternator refurbishment, battery, and clutch cable. There were also minor faults, as in any car, but nothing excessive. The car...

Pros: Economical to operate, Strong engine
Cons: Rust is significant, Suspension requires repair

Uno: A Great First Car

The Uno is a fantastic car for a first car, as it was for me. You can truly learn a lot from it due to its simplicity, small size, and excellent visibility. It's very fuel-efficient, averaging 6.3 l/100 km on petrol and about 7.7 l/100 km on LPG. I installed the LPG system six months after buying it at 57,000 km. Thanks to this, journeys are almost free! However, if you don't drive much, it's not worth investing in LPG, as the engine heats up very slowly, and the LPG kicks in quite late.

Pros: Excellent for learning, Simple and easy to handle, Great visibility, Very fuel-efficient
Cons: LPG system takes a long time to engage

Fiat Uno: A Surprisingly Economical Gem

Before the Uno, I had a Skoda Favorit 1.4 and an Astra F 1.6. Then came the Uno... an amazing car! Fuel consumption is top-notch, on both petrol and gas. With the 1.0 engine on petrol, I used 5.5 to 6 liters per 100km on the road, and 7 to 7.5 liters of gas. That suited me fine, but then I discovered that in normal driving, around town and everywhere else, it used no more than 8 liters of gas. Wonderful!!! The brakes were a common issue, constantly seizing up, but that was manageable. The bodywork... well, unfortunately, that's why I have to scrap it now because it's...

Pros: Incredibly economical on fuel and gas, Great city and everyday driving fuel efficiency
Cons: Brakes tend to seize up frequently, Body rust issues necessitate scrapping

Uno II

A wonderful car. It's 2019 and I still love it. This has been my first car for 6 years, and I don't plan to change it for another. The mileage keeps growing. I just returned from an 800km trip, and as always, it was a dream. It glides on highways and expressways, a real pleasure. It has also accompanied me several times on trips to Scandinavia. In 2014, I gave it thorough maintenance inside and out, with any holes near the doors being welded up. In 2018, I replaced the sills with new ones. It's always garaged.

Pros: Wonderful and loved after years of ownership, Reliable on long trips and highways, Undergone significant maintenance and repairs

Uno II: One Year Later

Another review after almost a year of use. I bought my example second-hand from the first owner, who had it from new from a Polish dealership. The 3-door version, in my opinion, is much more elegant than the 5-door. 900cc engine. Mileage at purchase just over 51,000 km. Immediately after purchase, I fitted new tires, 13-inch ones with the maximum possible high profile and width relative to the wheel arches. Tires change this car beyond recognition, both visually and in terms of driving. From hindsight, I can recommend the Uno. It is a...

Pros: More elegant 3-door design, Significant ride/visual improvement with tires

Fiat Uno: A Great Youngtimer

Well, like it or not, the Fiat Uno is a truly great youngtimer these days. I'm surprised by opinions like 'it's just weak' – okay, maybe it's not a speed demon, but people often compare it to cars 20-30 years newer, which simply makes no sense. I've had my Uno for a while now, so I can say something about it. For the price they go for today, the 'Uniacze' are truly very good cars. Comfortable seats, simple construction, and that something that makes it grab attention on the road. At meetups...

Pros: Excellent value for money, Comfortable seats, Unique character attracting attention
Cons: Not a speed demon

Uno II: A Classic for the Price

In my opinion, a very good car for the price of Uno on the used market. A car that is indeed more of a classic than a daily driver. I've been driving my Uno since 1995, bought new from the dealership. So after so much time, I can offer a subjective opinion. I bought it new in Katowice with a 1.4 IES engine. A car that back in the day, truly made an impression on the roads, especially with so many old Fiat 125Ps and Maluchs still around.

Pros: Excellent value for money
Cons: Becoming a rare sight on roads
