Ford C-MAX II 1.0 EcoBoost (125 Hp) S&S MPV 100 km

Problem: Head Gasket

Spacious. However, the head gasket failed. Ford doesn't even want to provide an estimate and says it's not worth repairing. No trade-in offer. Complete lack of seriousness. The car is only 5 years old and cost €30,000. I'm disgusted.

Pros: Spacious
Cons: Defective head gasket, Ford doesn't want to provide an estimate for the HS head gasket repair and says it's not worth it. No trade-in offer. Lack of seriousness. Car is only 5 years old and cost €30,000. Disgusted.

Ford C-MAX II 1.0 EcoBoost (100 Hp) S&S MPV 125,000 km

Problem: Electronics

Spacious family car. However, the engine lacks power for its size. The engine broke down at 125,000km. I noticed white smoke from the exhaust, a burning smell, and an empty coolant reservoir (suspecting a leak), with no dashboard warning light. Online research revealed I wasn't the first to experience this (engine to avoid...).

Pros: Spacious car for the family
Cons: Engine lacks power for a car of this size., Engine broke at 125,000km. I noticed white exhaust smoke, a burning smell, and an empty coolant reservoir (suspecting a leak), with no dashboard warning light., Online research revealed I wasn't the first to experience this (engine to avoid...).

Very Good - C-MAX II

Comfortable - safe - satisfactory equipment - quiet with a calm drive. Gear lever is often used due to the slightly weak engine power. Fuel consumption is high with spirited driving. No problems so far (knock on wood).

Pros: Comfortable, Safe, Satisfactory equipment, Quiet with a calm drive
Cons: Gear lever is often used due to the slightly weak engine power. Fuel consumption is high with spirited driving., No problems so far (knock on wood)

Ford C-MAX II 1.0 EcoBoost (100 Hp) S&S MPV 122,500 km

Issue: Battery

Spacious for my needs, reasonable fuel consumption averaging 6.5 l/100km. It's a bit of a slug, but since I drive gently, it suits me. Significant consumption when towing a heavy trailer. Get quotes for the timing belt change, as prices vary significantly between garages. I always feel like I might go through the floorpan with my feet. Vehicle serviced annually at a Ford dealer. I just replaced the battery and the timing belt at 122,000 km, four months shy of its tenth anniversary.

Pros: Spacious for my use, Reasonable consumption, 6.5 L/100km average
Cons: It's sluggish, but fine for gentle driving., High consumption when towing a heavy trailer., Get quotes for timing belt replacement; prices vary widely., Feels like the floorpan might give way under my feet.

Ford C-MAX II 1.0 EcoBoost (100 Hp) S&S MPV Mileage unknown

Problem: DPF / FAP

Hello, I bought a 2016 C-Max 100hp Eco-fuel gasoline model with 30,000 km for 14,000 euros, with a 12-month dealer warranty. After my test drives, here's what I can say, coming from a 2010 Grand Scenic dCi 7-seater. The finish is good. Very well equipped. Pick-up is sufficient and the gearbox/pick-up responds well up to 4th gear... 5th and 6th are a bit slow to respond but still acceptable. It's certainly a small engine and therefore cheaper in terms of maintenance.

Pros: Well-finished., Very well equipped., Sufficient pick-up and good gearbox response up to 4th gear., 5th and 6th gears are acceptable despite being a bit slow to respond.
Cons: The middle rear seat is only suitable for a child., Tires can be noisy, be careful with your choice., No spare wheel.
