Ford Fiesta Mk8: A Compact Surprise

I had concerns about the 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine... (Not to be confused with the non-turbo 1.1 engine!). But I was convinced after the first drive. The car is very dynamic and responds instantly to the gas pedal, so it's no slouch. Fuel consumption depends on the driver's style. With very dynamic driving, it can consume 9l/100km, or around 5l/100km with economical driving. The only downside to this car, in my opinion, is the interface, which requires literally a second for a reaction. For some, this might be...

Pros: Very dynamic and responsive engine, Good fuel economy potential
Cons: Laggy infotainment interface

Ford Fiesta VIII

Ford, a brand that was competing fiercely just 10 years ago, now outshines all Volkswagens! I love cars and change them every few months. My wife and I have been driving Fords for the last few years. After the fantastic B-Max, we moved to the newer Fiesta. While it's a city car, it's the only small car suitable for longer trips. Very well insulated. Even the rear wheel arches have a thin layer of material and a thick layer of felt. Strangely, my Mondeo doesn't even have this, just bare metal.

Pros: Excellent sound insulation, Comfortable for longer trips, Surpasses expectations for its class
Cons: No specific cons mentioned

Ford Fiesta Mk8 Review

A very decent car, good for those seeking good handling and comfort in a small car. The engine under the hood is adequate for city driving and calm journeys up to around 110 km/h. Obviously, you can go faster, but your ears will suffer. What saves the overall impression is the suspension, springy and relatively quiet. You want to drive this car. Agile, quiet. Ergonomics are quite good, though the previous model, despite being less equipped, performed better here. Fuel economy - here physics...

Pros: Good handling, Comfortable ride, Agile and quiet operation, Springy and quiet suspension
Cons: Engine can be noisy at higher speeds, Previous model had better ergonomics
