Focus i: A Solid Performer

Overall, a good car. Perhaps I had a particularly good example, as based on heard opinions, I was surprised that others had issues while mine was not so bad. My example, besides above-average reliability, had a specific characteristic: it practically always consumed 7l of diesel per 100 km, except for short distances, when it was 8-10 l per 100 km. A comfortable car suitable for 3-4 people. Excellent multi-link suspension, making driving over potholes manageable.

Pros: Above-average reliability, Consistent fuel economy (on longer trips), Comfortable for 3-4 passengers, Excellent multi-link suspension handling potholes
Cons: Higher fuel consumption on short trips

Focus I: A Solid Bet After All These Years

A good car. Despite being 15 years old when purchased, there were no signs of corrosion. The engine is dynamic and reasonably economical. It frequently reached 160-170 km/h on the highway and handled it well. I believe reaching 200 km/h on a straight and 210 km/h downhill wouldn't be an issue. Fuel consumption in mixed driving on short trips is around 8 L in summer and 9 L per 100 km in winter. With calm driving on the highway at around 90 km/h, it managed to consume 6 L per 100 km. It also transported about 10 meters worth of cargo.

Pros: No signs of corrosion on a 15-year-old car, Dynamic and economical engine, Capable of high speeds, Good fuel efficiency on the highway
Cons: Average fuel consumption in mixed driving can reach 9 L/100km
