Focus IV: The Latest Iteration

It's okay, this is my fourth Ford Focus in a row, and I think it's definitely the largest and most spacious so far. The interior is a bit bleak (grays), but in my opinion, the build quality is solid. I have the Active version, so there are some thematic embellishments + AGR seats (comfortable; it's a shame they're manually adjusted, but there's no other option in this version. Only the lumbar support is electrically adjustable. The sliding seat length, which accidentally extends, is irritating, but it's truly comfortable. I have no comparison to...

Pros: Spacious interior, Solid build quality, Comfortable AGR seats
Cons: Bleak interior design, Manual seat adjustment, Tripping seat extension

Focus IV: A Quiet & Improved Ride, But Less Power?

I don't know about other reviews, but mine concerns a new 2.0 diesel manual from the dealership. It's the ST-Line estate version, and I've had it for over 6 years. The main difference I notice is the car's soundproofing (it's very quiet) compared to the Mk3 version. This is my 4th Focus, but I've noticed this 150 PS unit isn't as strong as the previous 150 PS one. Maybe it's because of AdBlue? I also noticed a bit more paint chips, but these are minor things. Ford, and I would never have thought I'd say this, is sensational. Never...

Pros: Excellent soundproofing (very quiet), ST-Line estate offers good practicality, Reliable for long-term ownership
Cons: 150 PS engine feels less powerful than previous generation, Slightly more prone to paint chips

Focus IV

Plenty of space inside, a super large trunk, fantastic handling, and equipment. Dynamic, quiet, and very economical engine. Unfortunately, that's the end of the positives, there are also negatives. I bought a used car from a Ford dealership with a 2-year warranty. After a short period of use, the yellow engine light appeared. The first lambda sensor was replaced. After replacement, the car drove about 1800 km, and the situation repeated itself. At the authorized service center, they stated that the lambda sensor was again sooted up, and the cause of this is a damaged DPF.

Pros: Abundant interior space, Vastly spacious trunk, Excellent handling and features, Dynamic, quiet, and fuel-efficient engine
Cons: Recurring engine warning light after lambda sensor replacement, Faulty DPF suspected as cause of lambda sensor issues

Focus IV

If you're thinking of buying this car with this engine, take a heavy tool and hit yourself hard in the head. I drove this car for 50,000 km. I bought it at around 127,000 km, and that's already too much for this car! This car is a festival of breakdowns. You fix one thing, another falls apart, and so on, until you fix one thing and three fall apart, and you just stop paying attention. First thing to do is the timing belt, as it's half chain, which Ford...

Pros: Spacious interior, Comfortable ride
Cons: Unreliable engine, Frequent breakdowns, Expensive repairs, Poor build quality
