Transit v

Bought in 2019 with 358,000 km for hauling junk to work. Sold it this year (2021) due to the bodywork, which rusted at a terrifying rate over two years. The engine was reasonably good despite 90 HP. PS: In total, I drove 64,000 km in those two years.

Pros: Engine still decent despite high mileage
Cons: Rapid body rust over two years, High initial mileage

Transit vi

One of the few vans offering comfortable travel. Plenty of storage compartments, space, and excellent visibility from the driver's seat. Clutch and dual-mass flywheel replaced at 350,000 km. No breakdowns throughout its use. In its class, I think it's the best choice.

Pros: Comfortable ride for a van, Ample storage and space, Excellent driver visibility, Reliable with no breakdowns
Cons: Clutch and dual-mass flywheel eventually needed replacement

Transit v: A Beast of Burden

Awesome. Cheap to run. Parts are cheap. Doesn't break down, and if it does, it's usually minor things. It's like a cactus, drinks very little compared to other vans. No problems with the gearbox or suspension either. Only the brakes I had to do often. Drives almost like a car, good weight distribution and has a quiet engine.

Pros: Low running costs, Affordable parts, Reliable, minor issues only, Excellent fuel economy, Car-like handling, Quiet engine
Cons: Frequent brake maintenance
