Tucson IV Review

This is my third Tucson (2018, 2021, and the current 2024FL), and each model is unfortunately worse in quality than the previous one. If a lack of available parts and waiting months for repairs doesn't bother you, you might consider this model. For me, this is my third and last Tucson, and I'd gladly get rid of it today. Instead of using the car, it spends most of its time at the service center. Buying this model was a big mistake, despite its rich equipment, but

Pros: Rich equipment
Cons: Deteriorating quality with each generation, Lack of available parts, Long repair waiting times, Frequent service visits

Tucson IV Review

Unfortunately, as beautiful as this car is, it’s full of practical drawbacks: Very poorly insulated, much too loud at highway speeds. The supposedly automatic tri-zone climate control doesn't maintain a stable temperature in the car. A big problem with maintaining engine temperature (unfortunately for a hybrid). And finally, the fuel consumption is a disaster. A 1.6 hybrid burns like a dragon: a minimum of 10 L/100km on the highway, 8-9 L/100km on express roads, and around 7 L/100km in the city during summer, 10 L/100km in winter. My old diesel even stayed under 11 L/100km for short city trips.

Pros: Attractive design
Cons: Poor sound insulation, Inconsistent climate control, Engine temperature regulation issues, Excessive fuel consumption for a hybrid

Tucson IV

For me, amazing. 136 HP turbocharged with about 14 HP from the electric motor does the job. It has great acceleration and flexibility. I really don't understand the opinions about this engine because this is my 3rd car with a KIA/HYUNDAI diesel, totaling around 200,000 km driven. Now I have the latest version of this engine, and primarily it's quiet, dynamic, and economical. Highway 140 km - fuel consumption 5.7l !!! Remember that it's an SUV. The previous Tucson with the 1.7 CRDi engine had a fuel consumption of 6.5l at this speed. Here I have significantly more.

Pros: Excellent performance with hybrid boost, Impressive acceleration and flexibility, Quiet, dynamic, and economical, Good fuel economy for an SUV
Cons: Surprising negative reviews of this engine

Tucson IV: A Familiar Face, But a Different Experience

This is my third Tucson, but I think I'll end my adventure with this manufacturer. Previous cars (all new from the dealership) were practically trouble-free. This is the first unit that had to be equipped with a GPF filter, and as a result, the 'attractions' began. It's used daily on a suburban route of about 15 km (9 miles) each way, so not short trips in traffic. The first 12 months went without problems. In January, a message appeared indicating the need to burn off

Pros: Reliability of previous generations, Comfortable for daily commuting
Cons: GPF filter issues, Engine warning lights

Tucson IV

I have the Executive version with 360 cameras. A nice car, powerful, economical. It could hold the road a bit better, but it's still good for an SUV. The hybrid with turbo gives very good performance and is excellent for power access. With a full trunk and four adults on board, we didn't lack power on the highway. The torque converter automatic transmission handles heavy loads very well. It is well soundproofed. The only significant downside of this car for me is the weak

Pros: Powerful and economical hybrid powertrain, Excellent power delivery, Smooth and capable automatic transmission, Good highway performance, Well-soundproofed cabin, 360-degree camera system
Cons: Could handle road better

Tucson IV

The rear left taillight in the bumper fogs up. It was replaced once under warranty, but the second time it was deemed mechanical damage, my fault, and I had to pay. After researching and taking photos of the same issue in other vehicles and reporting it to the service center and Hyundai Poland headquarters, I was, frankly, ignored. The manager at GT Połczyńska 95 rudely dismissed me in the hallway near the entrance to get rid of me as quickly as possible. So, yes.

Pros: Spacious interior, Modern features
Cons: Recurring taillight fogging issue, Poor dealership customer service
