Shuma I: Decent for Commuting
A pretty good car for commuting and the like. It rusts terribly, is noisy and tacky inside, but overall it's not bad.

A good car for a low price. It lacks a bit of power, but it has space like a true limousine.
For me, this was a very good car. Used 70% city, 30% highway.
The claims that this car is prone to breakdowns are utter nonsense. After driving 174,000 km, all I've had to do is replace the brake pads and engine oil. The only things that broke were the electric antenna around 70,000 km and the passenger's window lift. Generally, the seat upholstery could be better. Most importantly, after 10 years, this car is still genuinely appealing.
Very poor assessment of the bodywork. It corrodes immensely, from small rust spots to holes in the sheet metal. It doesn't last more than half a year. I've already saved money for new sills (2.5 times more expensive than for, for example, a Golf). Once I get them done, the car will look better. I also plan to buy new retreaded tires.
The immobilizer problem surfaced after a 250 km drive from Katowice. The car was with AUTOELEKTRONIKA in Krotoszyn for two weeks. The service gave up, claiming they couldn't fix it and blaming the computer. I took the car to a service in Katowice, where they fixed the immobilizer by replacing it, and my car is now running. When I picked up my car from the previous service, blown fuses and a reprogrammed computer were found. It seems the mechanics were practicing on my car.
The entire electrical system failed multiple times, requiring several fruitless visits to an electrician. The gearbox also proved problematic. The handbrake, despite 8 hours of mechanic work, remained unusable. The brake cylinders were a genuine shock. This car feels more like a concept that needs another decade of development. My experience with the service (run by unsupervised youth learning on my car) was terrible. Shuma, I deeply regret buying you. You should have stayed on the showroom floor. My psychiatrist will have a field day. Never again Korean.
