Sorento IV Review

This car ticked all our boxes. The look, space, functionality, handling, and even acceleration met our requirements. We'd likely give it five stars and praise it, but... 4000 kilometers – sunroof failure – 4 months of waiting (luckily, the car was still driveable). It's a minor issue, though surprisingly so (a frequently reported problem from previous generations hasn't disappeared in the new one). After 24,000 kilometers – Combination – catalytic converter, electrical harness for the valve, and EGR valve needed replacement. We've now driven 2.5...

Pros: Attractive design, Ample interior space, Excellent functionality, Pleasant driving experience, Satisfying acceleration
Cons: Sunroof failure after 4,000 km, Long waiting time for parts (4 months), Catalytic converter issue at 24,000 km, Electrical harness and EGR valve replacement needed

Sorento IV: Hard to Replace

My problem is I have nothing to replace it with... :-( The car is so successful, it's a shame to sell it... I was going to buy an AUDI Q7 or Q8, but why? To overpay by over 100,000 for the option of a larger engine and air suspension. The engine in the KIA performs well even with a full load, it's not sluggish, fuel consumption is normal. We have the prestige version, so it has absolutely everything. So far, nothing has failed, the build quality is superb... those who don't drive it won't know what I'm talking about.

Pros: Excellent performance even when fully loaded, Reasonable fuel consumption, Fully equipped Prestige version, Superb build quality, Great value, hard to find a better replacement
Cons: Reluctance to sell due to its success

Sorento IV Review

Why five stars when most sub-ratings are four? Because the Sorento perfectly fits my lifestyle and family situation. I live in a traffic-congested provincial capital, family of 2+2, our only car. It's versatile enough that I'm satisfied 99% of the time spent in the car. Handling kids in the back? No problem. City traffic? Hybrid + assistance systems and I'm not tired. Fuel consumption? Truly satisfactory.

Pros: Perfect for family and city lifestyle, Versatile and comfortable, Efficient hybrid system, Helpful driver assistance
Cons: Some sub-ratings are only four stars
