Sportage v: A Solid SUV for the Price
For the price (M+ Smart package), this car is generally very successful. Used for commuting 15km each way and holiday trips. No DPF issues at all. I usually drive in normal or sport mode, not eco. Revs typically over 2,000 rpm, I just don't lug the engine. Average fuel consumption in this mode is around 8 l. In my opinion, this is a good result. On the road, fully loaded with a roof box at speeds of around 120-130 km/h, fuel consumption is about 7.5 l. Above 120-130...
Pros:
Good value for money (M+ Smart package), Reliable, no DPF issues, Decent fuel economy for its performance
Cons:
Fuel consumption increases significantly at higher speeds

I bought a new KIA with a 1.6 petrol engine. I like it, but the electronics are terrible. Every 2-3 thousand km the exhaust filter warning lights up. The service charges PLN 500 to fix it (the fix involves driving 10-15 km in 3rd gear). The warning light goes off, but fuel is wasted, and this kind of nonsense isn't good for the engine. The SOS light comes on in deep cold, the tire pressure light comes on, and there are various beeps and squeaks. The manufacturer and service centers need to get their act together because people...
Pros:
Engine generally good
Cons:
Faulty exhaust filter warning system, Expensive and inconvenient fixes, Unreliable electronic warnings (SOS, tire pressure), Strange noises (beeps and squeaks)

Very good car. The engine is dynamic, the car easily enters electric mode. The interior is well-fitted and quiet, whether on the road or in the city – it's silent inside. Safety and driver assistance systems work very well, incomparably better than in the VAG group. The car is very spacious. Driver assistance systems work very efficiently, the multimedia system offers many settings and personalization. The adaptive headlights are out of this world, turning night into day.
Pros:
Dynamic engine, Smooth transition to electric mode, Excellent interior fit and sound insulation, Effective driver assistance systems, Spacious interior, Feature-rich multimedia system, Exceptional adaptive headlights

Car bought new from the dealership. Likely swayed by the 'new car' magic at a reasonable price. The car has some advantages. It's appealing; some details look good, and I think the overall shape is okay. The spacious interior, excluding the trunk, is also a plus. Unfortunately, everything else is mediocre: mediocre seats, mediocre materials, mediocre engine, mediocre gearbox. In the first week after picking up the car, I immediately informed the dealer that the car has issues...
Pros:
Appealing design, Decent value, Spacious interior (excluding trunk)
Cons:
Mediocre seats, Mediocre materials, Mediocre engine, Mediocre gearbox

Overall, for its class and size, it's a truly good and well-thought-out car. General rating is 4.5. I would buy it again without hesitation. Of course, there are some negative reviews, but it's hard for me to relate to them because I feel like they're writing about a different car. Someone decides to buy a KIA, thinking they're getting a Rolls, and then writes strange things. They probably drove a BMW until now but it ruined them financially, so they bought a KIA and think they got a premium car. No, it's not a premium car, and it doesn't pretend to be.
Pros:
Good value for money, Well-designed for its class, Recommended purchase
Cons:
Misunderstood by some reviewers expecting a premium vehicle

Early days, only about 7,000 km driven, but I'm very satisfied. Positive quality-to-price ratio. The 160 HP engine, especially in Sport mode, allows for dynamic city driving. The suspension is nicely tuned, not too hard or too soft for me. Interior space is adequate for the car's size. It manages for my family of 4, but it's not overwhelming. It's reasonably quiet inside up to about 110-120 km/h. Above that, it starts to get a bit noisy.
Pros:
Good value for money, Dynamic city driving with Sport mode, Comfortable suspension tuning, Adequate interior space for a family of 4
Cons:
Interior noise increases above 120 km/h

The Kia Sportage feels more distinctly Asian than European. Those accustomed to European cars might find a few things bothersome. In my opinion, the biggest drawback is the broadly defined ergonomics, especially the seats. They are small, narrow, short, too hard, and positioned too high. The interior features hard, black, glossy plastics, which feel a bit unwelcoming. The suspension is also too stiff with insufficient travel. What bothers one person may not bother another – it's very subjective. However, a few things do bother me.
Pros:
Subjective appeal
Cons:
Ergonomics, Uncomfortable seats (small, narrow, short, hard, too high), Cheap-feeling interior plastics, Stiff suspension with limited travel
