A-Class W177/V177: Disappointing Quality

This car is not worth the price. The plug-in version should never have been produced in this body style, a fact even Mercedes Poland has confirmed. Literally everything in the car creaks and rattles. I advise against buying this car. Even after several visits to the service center, they couldn't eliminate the noises. I had to take it to a private workshop for soundproofing and sealing the doors, panels, and all plastic parts, and only then became it bearable to drive.

Pros: Premium brand image
Cons: Poor build quality and rattles, Plug-in hybrid version questionable in this body style, Expensive for the quality offered, Service center unable to fix issues

A-Class W177: Two Years In

After 2 years, I can write something credible. I moved from an A 220 4Matic (it drove great, but lacked a bit of power). For me, this car is phenomenal. What it can do in corners! And I live in a mountainous area with only curves. A car for a true car enthusiast. After 2 years, the whole set of tires needs replacement, but so much fun! In Sport+ mode, beautiful exhaust pops and crackles, but in Comfort mode, it drives like a normal compact with surprisingly low fuel consumption (98 octane). Average consumption from

Pros: Phenomenal cornering ability, Thrilling Sport+ mode with exhaust pops, Comfortable as a normal compact, Surprisingly low fuel consumption
Cons: Complete set of tires needs replacement after 2 years

A-Class W177: A Look at the A180 Diesel

I bought this car in July. It's a Mercedes A180 V177, 1950cc diesel, 116 hp. The car has an 8-speed automatic transmission and a detuned 1,950cc engine to 116 hp. So far I've driven it almost 10,000 km and I think it's worth writing something as I couldn't find any reviews for a car with this engine. So far it's doing great, and what pleases me most is the fuel consumption. While it can drink up to 6.5 liters in the city, on the highway at speeds of 130-140 km/h, it takes less than 5 liters. At speed

Pros: Excellent fuel economy on the highway
Cons: Higher fuel consumption in the city

A-Class W177: A Pleasant Surprise

A car that positively surprised me. The base engine, while not aiming for sporty thrills, is more than sufficient for this car. It accelerates briskly up to about 160 km/h, has low fuel consumption, and despite its compact size, offers plenty of cabin space and comfortable travel. Standard equipment is above average, including automatic climate control, a reversing camera, and voice control. Good value can be found on the market due to relatively low demand.

Pros: More than sufficient base engine performance, Good acceleration up to 160 km/h, Low fuel consumption, Spacious interior for its size, Comfortable ride, Above-average standard equipment (auto AC, backup cam, voice control), Attractive prices due to low demand
Cons: Not focused on sporty driving experience with base engine

A-Class W177: Even More Spectacular

Even though the previous model was already a great city racer, capable of making an amateur feel like Walther Röhrl, the W177 is even more spectacular in every way. It's even faster, more precise, and offers many more possibilities if you get the chance to push this car to its limits. The drivetrain has been improved – the mechanical front axle differential no longer causes the car to understeer as much as it did in the W176. On the rear axle, we do have an electronic...

Pros: Spectacular performance, Faster and more precise handling, Improved drivetrain and reduced understeer
Cons: Electronic rear axle...
