106 II: A Pleasant Surprise
This is my first car, and I expected much LESS from such a small vehicle. It's zippy, fits into every gap between cars, and after necessary repairs (as is typical for used cars), it runs without fault.

A charming car. It's quite high off the ground, can handle any curb, drive over large potholes without issue. The engine is very economical, city fuel consumption around 5l/100km. My example's bodywork is great, rust-free, very well galvanized, durable paint. Unfortunately, comfort is limited, as with any old diesel, everything creaks inside, but the seats are comfortable. Recommended for the city, less so for long journeys.
A sensational little car. I bought it for my wife, but I drive it very often myself. My version is super-equipped: A/C, ABS, ESP, power windows, good audio. Despite only 54 HP (the German version is weaker), this little car is quite dynamic to drive, not just in the city. Overtaking on the highway is easy. The engine's characteristics are more like a gasoline engine. The gearbox isn't well-matched; there's a lack of torque in the lower gears. It pulls best in 3rd and 5th gear, making it dynamic.
For 6 years and 130,000 km, the car served me perfectly. I'm selling it to extended family soon, so this is a summary of our 'collaboration'. Ideal for the city, spacious, and stable (though no longer fast) on the road. Confident to drive and glued to the road. It fits everywhere, and you can see everything around (plus the sky, thanks to the sunroof). Reliable, hassle-free, loyal, and quite feisty towards other cars. It has character. It perfectly served as a car for a bachelor after university, quickly
The car handles nicely. The engine, for its displacement, is surprisingly good, it's fuel-efficient, and reasonably comfortable, but that's where its positives end. It's constantly noisy, there's always something to fix or not working properly (temporarily it's fine). On longer trips, it's simply not suitable for extended journeys outside the city. Considering other cars from the same year and segment, I think it fares quite well. However, considering its price, some examples are significantly overpriced, and in such cases, there are other cars available.
I think this is a VERY good little car for those looking for a relatively cheap, SOLID car that will pay you back many times over. Just take a little care of it. The engine is very durable, a solid Peugeot construction without any technological frills. It doesn't have the most power, but it's perfectly sufficient for people with modest expectations. This is my first car, and I don't regret buying it, despite the initial investment I had to make. I recommend this car, don't be afraid.
