306 II

Bought for about a year, I was looking for another car and needed something to get around in. The car surprised me with its reliability. Besides the radiator (cost 100 PLN from a wrecker and changed myself in an hour), fluid changes, front pads and discs, gas adjustment, and the car has been with me for 4 years, it has never broken down, I always reached my destination. I must mention that the car is galvanized and despite being 22 years old, it has practically no rust, including underneath.

Pros: Reliability, Durability (galvanized body), Low repair costs
Cons: Radiator issue (easily fixed)

306 II: Still Great After Two Years

I've been using this car for two years and it's great, it has never let me down. I bought it for a ridiculously low price in very good condition. Everything can be done by yourself if you want, and the prices for parts are ridiculous. I really recommend it as a first car.

Pros: Reliable and never failed., Incredible value for money., Easy to maintain yourself., Affordable parts.

306 II

Selling the Focus ST made me shed a tear, I really enjoyed it and would still be enjoying it if I hadn't needed the money back then. Two years ago, 8 months after selling the Ford, I decided to return to fast hatchbacks. I had a choice between the Golf GTI, Toyota TS, Citroen VTS, and this car. Toyota - expensive, Golf - didn't want it, Citroen - my first car, my wife drives it, so I bought this one. It was heavily neglected inside but luckily not after an accident. I drove 250 km to get it and after

Pros: Fun to drive
Cons: Interior condition

306 Mk II

The car surprises in every aspect, and almost exclusively positively. Perhaps the key to a calm and trouble-free drive is finding a well-maintained example? Mine was. I didn't experience the legendary French caprices. The car is reliable, I only replace wear-and-tear items. Additionally, the car is very spacious (though you wouldn't guess from the outside); I've moved twice with it. And the engine...

Pros: Reliable, Spacious for its size, Smooth driving experience (with a good example)
Cons: External appearance might not suggest interior space

306 II

I've grown very attached to my Peugeot 306, so it will be hard to part with it. Sadly, the time to say goodbye is fast approaching, as I can simply afford a newer and 'better' car. I use the word 'better' in quotation marks intentionally because the Peugeot 306 is truly a good car, and I'm not sure if the car I'll buy will actually be better. Unlike new cars, the 306 has a soul. It probably came out in dozens of configurations.

Pros: Good car with character, Has soul, unlike modern cars
Cons: Time to upgrade to a newer model

306 II: Affordable and Fun

Very cheap to maintain and to buy, simple to repair, rarely breaks down. It's not without its flaws, but still performs positively against competing cars. The biggest positive surprise for me was how well, even a stock 306 hatchback handles. Of course, we're talking about aggressive, dynamic driving in corners. After minor modifications, it's an ideal candidate for a twisty track lacking long straights or simply for autocross events. Regarding the 1.6 8v engine -

Pros: Low purchase and maintenance costs, Simple to repair, Reliable, Good handling, especially in corners
Cons: Not without flaws

Peugeot 306 II: A Rare Gem

This car is a rarity today due to its age. But if you find a specimen with relatively healthy underbody, don't hesitate. The rest can be repaired affordably if needed. I inherited the vehicle from my Dad and Uncle as a temporary car. And meanwhile... the old Peugeot was turned into a sensational rally car, nicknamed 'Landrynka,' a Slayer of Tight Corners, Rude Patrols, and Inexperienced Beemer Youths. A modest car that, until rust after 27 years...

Pros: Affordable repairs, Potential for customization
Cons: Rarity due to age, Vulnerability to rust
