307 SW: Practical, Economical, Underrated
The review concerns the SW version, where each rear seat is individual. A very versatile, spacious, and economical car. Highly underrated – I've owned many VWs, but this car made a huge impression on me. Well-finished, no creaking plastics, though the soundproofing in the rear (trunk) is a bit weak.
Pros:
Very versatile, Spacious, Economical, Well-finished, No creaking plastics
Cons:
Rear soundproofing (trunk) is a bit weak

307 II: A Pleasant Surprise
The car surprises positively. Primarily, this is thanks to the engine, which provides comfort and good sensations for a diesel. The 307 handles very predictably, unfortunately, this is reflected in the stiff suspension over potholes. The car doesn't have many flaws, it's not overly unreliable (facelifts are definitely more refined), and its performance surprises many. Despite being a hatchback, it can accommodate 4 people for a holiday, and the car, even when loaded, offers flexibility on the road. The equipment of this
Pros:
Comfortable and engaging diesel engine, Predictable handling, Reliable after facelift, Surprising performance, Practical for 4 people and luggage
Cons:
Stiff suspension over bumps

307 i Review: A Disappointment
I've owned this car for 4 years, and it's terrible. I never know what will break next. I've replaced the ignition coils twice (300 zł), the clutch, had the brake calipers refurbished, replaced the muffler 3 times, and the engine and gearbox mounts. I installed LPG immediately after purchase and had to add an emulator for the fuel gauge as it was inaccurate. It runs well on LPG above 3000 rpm, but below that, it stutters when accelerating (likely needs valve tappets replaced or engine overhaul). The turn signal lever is loose. The equipment is a plus.
Pros:
Good equipment level
Cons:
Constant breakdowns, Expensive repairs (coils, clutch, calipers, muffler), Engine performance issues on LPG at lower RPM, Faulty turn signal lever

307 ii Review
I'm satisfied. The car is comfortable inside, with a lot of space for a hatchback. Fuel consumption is around 6L with economical driving. The engine is dynamic and problem-free. The gearbox might be a bit imprecise and loose, but it's a matter of getting used to it. The electronics sometimes act up, but these were usually minor issues that I fixed myself or at a mechanic's for very little money. The suspension isn't very durable either, especially with Polish roads, but it's cheap to repair.
Pros:
Spacious interior for a hatchback, Economical fuel consumption, Dynamic and reliable engine, Inexpensive repairs
Cons:
Imprecise and loose gearbox, Occasional minor electronic glitches, Suspension durability affected by road conditions

Peugeot 307 II
I've driven this car for 70,000 km, mostly on highways. I have the SW (7-seater) version. Pros include a super economical and flexible engine, reliability, space, good driving position, rich equipment, and good interior quality. The exterior design of the SW version in pearl black still looks good despite the years. Cons for me are poor sound insulation above 120 km/h, and a stiff clutch and brake, making city driving in traffic a bit hard. Compared to a 2016 Passat and a 2013 Golf, it didn't...
Pros:
Super economical and flexible engine, Reliability, Spacious interior, Good driving position, Rich equipment, Good interior quality, Attractive SW exterior design
Cons:
Poor sound insulation above 120 km/h, Stiff clutch and brake pedal

I'm reading and reviewing comments, and I see quite divided opinions. I'll say this: I'm honestly satisfied. No breakdowns, oil changed regularly, engine not overstressed. It will last longer if not pushed; exceeding 160 km/h doubles wear. A few days ago, the clutch started squeaking. I replaced it at 200,000 km, but the original clutch was still there. It probably would have lasted longer, but somehow a small metal piece from the pressure plate broke off. As for the current winter, I have no complaints. I've noticed one minor issue.
Pros:
Reliable with regular maintenance, Original clutch lasted long
Cons:
Minor issue with clutch mechanism

307 i: Still Holding Up Well
For its age (2003), this car is holding up very well. Judging by receipts from the previous owner, everything seems to have been replaced, so now it's just about driving. Honestly, I'm stuck with this car; for two years, nothing serious has gone wrong, and I'm afraid to switch to something else. Pros: practical interior, good comfort, decent highway behavior, no major breakdowns, cool gadgets and ergonomic solutions in my version. Cons: weak second gear despite decent power.

307 II: A Fortuitous Find
Bought on a whim, I went to buy a Signum with LPG and returned with a 307 SW. This one turned out to be practically trouble-free, apart from a sticky boot lock, I had no issues. After 1.5 years of use and a timing belt change right off the bat, plus filters and oils as expected, the only other wear was to the front wheel bearings. I mainly use the car for commuting, previously 180km, now 80km daily. If you don't have a heavy foot, guaranteed smiles.
Pros:
Trouble-free with minor exceptions, Good for daily commuting, Reliability for gentle drivers
Cons:
Sticky boot lock, Front wheel bearing wear

Peugeot 307 II Test: A Reliable Companion
Bought this nearly three-year-old car with 127,000 km in 2010. Seemingly the top-spec OXYGEN version. Now, in 2024, it has covered 366,000 km. Repairs include replacing the dual-mass flywheel at 350,000 km and the timing chain at the same time. After replacing the windscreen with a non-genuine part, the rear washer went crazy and activates randomly. The GPS also started acting up. Additionally, I replaced the diesel particulate filter, but I suspect the mechanic might have exaggerated its necessity. Everything else is original since new, including the exhaust! Average fuel consumption...
Pros:
Remarkable reliability over long distances., Original exhaust system still functional., Top-spec OXYGEN trim.
Cons:
Rear washer malfunction after windscreen replacement., GPS issues., Possible unnecessary DPF replacement.

Problem: Air Conditioning
Drove over 10 years. The car drives well, but the paint quickly flakes off (water-based paint). The heating wiring is damaged, the air conditioning is broken, along with the thermostat and the fan resistor. Body control module issues after 10 years.
Pros:
Drives well
Cons:
Paint flakes off quickly (water-based paint), Damaged heating wiring, Air conditioning broken, Faulty thermostat, Fan resistor failure, Body control module issues after 10 years

Manufacturer defect for the mirror support, poor composite plastic material, presence of bubbles and mold filling defect for this essential safety support part. The support section gave way due to these defects during the injection of this support piece, which is responsible for holding the rotational axis of the right exterior mirror for retracting it when parking.
