308: Comfort & Style, But Engine Woes
A comfortable car with a solidly built interior, great design, and unfortunately, a problematic powertrain. The biggest flaws are the engine, sensors, and suspension. Fuel consumption is acceptable, but you need to learn to drive it efficiently – shifting to fifth gear at 70 km/h significantly reduces consumption compared to 50 km/h. While this was ergonomic in a Seat Ibiza, the 308 suffers from jerking, stalling, and poor overtaking performance. Engine check warnings appear due to ignition coils and alternator wear.
