Partner II

The worst car I've ever driven. I have a company car, this one, since new, and I wouldn't take it for private use even for free. When you tighten one creaky plastic, or shove a sponge under it, another one immediately starts to make noise. I have the version with a fixed rear bench seat; the backrest is as straight as a church pew, there's 15 cm of knee room, a disaster. Poor sound insulation from outside, although the engine runs smoothly. The 1.6 diesel consumes 6.5 L/100km in mixed cycle. Even good front speakers, very spacious, it fits everything...

Pros: Smooth engine operation, Good front speakers, Very spacious
Cons: Worst car driven, Constant creaking plastics, Uncomfortable, straight rear seat, Limited rear knee room, Poor external sound insulation

I hesitated for a long time about which new car to buy from a Polish dealership. Having used a Citroen Berlingo 1.6 HDI as a company car, I opted for this model. It turned out that Citroen dealerships in Poland couldn't meet my price needs, so I chose the Peugeot Partner, specifically the Tepee Active 1.6 BlueHDI 100HP version. I purchased the car from an authorized Peugeot dealer in Leszno. I received a significant discount from the list price of 87,000 PLN.

Pros: Good value after discount
Cons: Citroen dealership price inflexibility

Partner II: A Complete Mistake

A complete mistake. In 2 years, it was in for repairs 6 times. I drive a lot, almost 100,000 km/year, mostly long distances outside Poland. Practically every 3 months the car was in for repair. Each time a different problem. Wiring harness, circuit board, pump, etc. Each time it caused stress and lost time. Recently, the car broke down just after leaving a service. I must add that all services were always done at Peugeot dealerships. The car is spacious, I have to admit that. With almost 200,000 km, my boss persuaded me to

Pros: Spacious interior
Cons: Frequent and varied mechanical issues, High repair frequency, Time and stress due to breakdowns

I've owned this car since new. Before, I drove a '99 Partner. The car is very comfortable and spacious. It handles well in rain and snow. For 53,000, there's nothing more spacious for sale with 5 seats. The flaws I've noticed are cracking paint between the rear pillar and the roof. The 1.6 VTi engine burns oil. After 10,000 km, the lifters started tapping on a cold engine. I changed the oil twice every 5000 km; it quickly turns black, caused by the engine's high operating temperature.

Pros: Very comfortable and spacious, Good handling in adverse conditions, Excellent value for space at its price point
Cons: Paint cracking between rear pillar and roof, 1.6 VTi engine consumes oil, Lifter tapping on cold start after 10k km, Engine oil turns black quickly due to high temps

For a good price between 50-60k, we get a car that can seat three people in the cabin. The cargo space (850kg) is slightly extended compared to L-1. Powered by a 1.6 Euro 6 diesel engine that's not very fuel-thirsty, which is the most important advantage for a company fleet. The engine has excellent torque characteristics, well-mated to the gearbox. The engine has 100hp but handles its job. The only drawback that comes to mind is the placement and number of storage compartments in the cabin.

Pros: Good price for its class, Spacious cabin for three occupants, Extended cargo capacity (850kg), Economical 1.6 Euro 6 diesel engine, Excellent engine torque characteristics, Well-matched gearbox
Cons: Limited number and inconvenient placement of cabin storage compartments

After 40,000 kilometers, the thermostat or sensor failed. Engine temperature drops from 100 degrees to 90 and 85 degrees at speeds of 110 km/h and above. Oil consumption seemed to decrease. It might have been breaking in. A factory defect is the rubber on the opening rear window (the stops move), water from the car wash softens the glue. Two front door stops were replaced. The side door window screws keep loosening, causing the glass to drop. Engine knocking when cold under load is less noticeable after refueling.

Pros: Potential decrease in oil consumption, Less engine knocking when cold under load
Cons: Thermostat/sensor failure around 40,000 km, Engine temperature fluctuations, Defective rear window rubber stops, Front door stops needed replacement, Loose side window screws causing glass to drop

I'm driving a Partner Tepee, admittedly 3 years old, but for a relatively new car, the interior solutions are lamentable. The cupholder is only 3 centimeters deep, so it's scary to put anything in it other than coins, for fear it will spill. In the storage compartments, an A4 sheet barely fits, and it falls on your head when you start moving anyway. A phone doesn't fit in any of the individual compartments by the gear stick or radio (forget the two small ones). The passenger glovebox is a real drama: it only fits a can of cola and two...

Pros: Spacious (potentially, despite interior issues)
Cons: Extremely shallow cupholder, Impractical storage compartments, A4 paper doesn't fit well, Phone doesn't fit in most storage, Passenger glovebox is too small

No one has done more for small entrepreneurs than the PSA Group with the release of the Partner and Berlingo. For 20k, you get a vehicle that can transport a trunk full of tools, cables, pipes, ladders, etc. to a construction site one day, pack up an entire tattoo studio with artists and equipment to drive across Poland the next, and take the kids and dog on a trip to the seaside the day after. All without risk of breaking down on the road. Easy to buy.

Pros: Versatile for business and personal use, Reliable for long trips, Affordable purchase price
Cons: Limited original description of cons

Allegedly a nice car, agile, drives beautifully on the highway, but ultimately perhaps not for me. The car has power, it has acceleration, and the equipment is also good. And above all, how it looks, a truly beautiful car. You can see the photos on my Instagram @euforyka. But back to the car - fuel consumption on the road is around 8-9 liters, in the city about 10-12 depending on driving dynamics. I personally am a fan of smaller cars, I drove best

Pros: Agile and drives beautifully on the highway, Good engine power and acceleration, Nice equipment, Beautiful appearance
Cons: Fuel consumption is a bit high (8-12 L/100km), Not preferred for those who like smaller cars

Partner II

Incredibly versatile car, very enjoyable to drive. It boasts good suspension geometry and is mega spacious, so versatile you can transport large items (like a small van), turn it into a mini-camper for 2 people (folding front and rear seats), comfortably travel with 4 people + 2 bikes in the middle with the central seat removed, and drive it fast yet comfortably. It accelerates dynamically to 170 km/h with its 100 HP engine.

Pros: Extremely versatile, Comfortable ride, Spacious interior, Good for carrying large items, Can be converted into a mini-camper, Accommodates 4 people + bikes, Dynamic acceleration
