Clio V Review
Purchasing the new Renault Clio V was supposed to guarantee quality, comfort, and top-level service. Unfortunately, reality turned out to be quite different. The Renault Nawrot dealership in Długołęka, where the car was bought (04/2025), handed over a vehicle with a faulty air conditioning system, which emits an unacceptable, persistent noise from the start, impacting travel comfort. During phone pairing after purchase, it was discovered the driver's door speaker is not working. The doors...
Pros:
Supposed to guarantee quality and comfort

Faulty air conditioning system emits persistent, unacceptable noise, Driver's door speaker not working

Dear Sir/Madam, I am sadly sharing my disappointment with the purchase of a new Renault car and the quality of both after-sales and service support. I expected a high standard – consistent with the brand's reputation – unfortunately, reality fell far short of expectations. The car, purchased from the Renault Nawrot dealer in Wrocław, showed worrying symptoms related to the air conditioning from the start. Repeatedly reported noise (most likely from the expansion valve) significantly...
Pros:
Sleek design, Comfortable ride
Cons:
Faulty air conditioning, Poor after-sales service, Inconsistent build quality

Two years of use and 64,000 km driven, so I can say a bit about this car. Almost an ideal car in this segment. It performs excellently in the city and, surprisingly, is very good on the road. In the city, as befits a city car, it's agile and easy to park. On the road, even at highway speeds, it handles well and is comfortable and well-insulated enough to put some cars from higher segments to shame. Passengers who have
Pros:
Almost ideal in its segment, Excellent city driving, Surprising highway performance, Agile and easy to park, Comfortable and quiet on highways

This is a sort of test, the first hybrid driven for 42,000 km. Generally, it drives great, the car is characterized by low fuel consumption. A small oil leak from the gearbox appeared. Something we expected before buying, it's described on various forums. (childhood illness for 1.6 FullHybrid) - however, it was repaired free of charge by the dealership. We installed an LPG system on the car, allowing us to drive very cheaply - unfortunately, at the expense of boot space. The car drives a lot on the highway where
Pros:
Excellent driving experience., Low fuel consumption.
Cons:
Minor gearbox oil leak (known issue, repaired free)., LPG installation reduces boot space.

I own the Clio Alpine, which seems to have the most sensible equipment. It's a nice small car, accelerates briskly, and in sport mode, it definitely offers the most driving pleasure. The eco mode really bogs down the car, and I strongly advise against using it, especially since it doesn't translate to lower fuel consumption. In the city, the 'my sense' mode works well. I mainly use the car on highways at around 120 km/h. Overall fuel consumption is significantly worse than advertised.
Pros:
Agile acceleration, Sport mode for enjoyable driving, My Sense mode suitable for city use
Cons:
Eco mode significantly reduces performance, Eco mode doesn't improve fuel economy, Fuel consumption higher than expected

Clio V Review
Owned from new, mostly driven by my wife. Two known service campaigns, no other issues. 112,000 km driven - STILL ON ORIGINAL BRAKE PADS! The dealership said they'll last a few more years... Very economical and dynamic in the city. Longest trip was 550 km. Good dynamics and refinement. Decent, but not a D-segment car, which is better for long journeys. Very fuel-efficient. Surprisingly good material quality. Renault has improved significantly. I have the well-equipped Intens version.
Pros:
Very economical in the city, Dynamic performance, Good refinement, Surprising material quality, Well-equipped version
Cons:
Not a D-segment car for long trips
