Espace IV: 14 Years of Family Service

I've owned this car since 2006, and it's been part of our family since 2010. I'm writing this on December 22, 2024, after 14 years together. The most important thing is I will never sell it. Cars like this aren't made anymore. The engine has never failed. The suspension had a major overhaul once and drives like new. I only had one issue: the start card reader broke. Replaced by an electrician, it works perfectly to this day. This car is a tank… a seven-seater, with removable seats.

Pros: Reliable engine throughout its life, Suspension drives like new after overhaul, Spacious seven-seater configuration, Durable and long-lasting build
Cons: Starter card reader malfunctioned

Espace IV: A Big Shift

After a long time driving Japanese cars, a big change!! I never would have bought it if I hadn't borrowed an Espace from a friend for about a month. It was quite a mess, full of yellow warning lights, SERVICE, ABS failure, transmission in service mode only in 3rd gear. Despite this, I managed to drive it until I had to return it. It was a 2004 model. Later I read that one should buy an Espace only from 2006 onwards. After returning the car, I even considered another car after intending to...

Pros: Spacious interior
Cons: Numerous warning lights, ABS failure, Transmission issues

Espace IV

My third and biggest machine from Renault. I had a Laguna 2 estate (petrol) and a Grand Scenic 2. The Scenic was ideal, but I dreamed of owning an Espace 4. I searched for a long time and found a 2.0d, 2012 model, in the Grand version, which was most important to me. It looks a bit better from the side, fits a lot, and is comfortable. Even a stroller fits standing up without needing to sit. The automatic is nice, the engine too. Of course, I drive on various routes, both longer and at a relaxed pace.

Pros: Spacious Grand version, Comfortable, Good automatic transmission, Pleasant engine

Espace IV: A Practical Choice for Daily Commutes

This is a very practical car that provides good feelings on all levels. It's well-assembled and designed, though only good in certain areas rather than excellent. Therefore, it will be the best purchase for someone who wants to drive from point A to point B, and not necessarily a good purchase for a motorsport enthusiast. Why? Details below. Ultimately, I am a motorsport enthusiast and need a car for the sheer pleasure of traveling. Unfortunately, the Espace doesn't give me that. I have to

Pros: Highly practical and functional, Good overall assembly and design, Satisfactory for point-to-point travel
Cons: Lacks the pure driving pleasure for enthusiasts, Not exceptional in every aspect
