My neighbor drove it for 10 years. My father drove it for 5 years. I drove it for 8 years, and now my father drives it again. It's a good car for city driving as well as for trips. Inexpensive to maintain, reasonably fuel-efficient. With proper care for the bodywork, the metal won't rust quickly. I don't demand much from a car. It needs to get me around and not break down.
Honestly, I hated it and was thoroughly fed up, especially when my pregnant wife pushed this piece of junk with me every morning all winter because it wouldn't start. We are very happy to have gotten rid of this thing, I have no sentimentality.
For such a small price (up to PLN 1,000), it's worth considering. Of course, it's better to choose one with LPG. The Skoda has a lot of space (which is why I bought it; I don't enjoy driving with my knees to my ears like in a Fiat 126p and hitting the mini-pedals with my fingertips). It's not suitable for racing; it's more of a 'grandpa car' (a vehicle for older drivers who aren't in a hurry).
I've been driving it since I was 13, and I'm already 21. :D I learned to drive on it, my dad drove it to his wedding in '83, it took me on holidays, and now to work. So I have a great sentiment for it. :D Even my girlfriend likes it. :D <at least I know she's not a gold digger> :D I wish users trouble-free use! :D
A nice, unique car. Unlike many oldtimers, it's truly suitable for driving. Its spacious interior and generous trunk suggest a class above what the engine capacity would imply. This car isn't a copy of Western designs (like the 125p, Dacia, or Lada), but entirely original. This makes it one of the few with a chance to become a cult car. After all, it's the only car from behind the Iron Curtain whose model was made by the legendary Matchbox in the 80s.
A good, solid car. It consumes only slightly more fuel than a Fiat Cinquecento (Maluch), but the travel comfort is incomparable. It has heating and space. It's not hard to find a 20-something-year-old Skoda in better body condition than a Maluch half its age.
This car, despite being 40 years old, looks quite good. Having been garaged, it has retained its original paint. It's simple to repair and has never let me down. I start it every two weeks for short drives, covering about 100 km a year. Only the exhaust silencer corrodes due to water, and the fuel pump occasionally falters.
A very cool car! It's hard to get used to after switching from something better (no power steering, choke, long brake pedal travel, long gear shifts, etc.), but once you drive it a bit, you'll love this car – great sound (really awesome for me!), rear-wheel drive lets you have fun, suspension is super durable (after 200k km, only 2 shock absorbers were replaced...). It's spacious, with a somewhat impractical front trunk. It can pull away nicely from lights if you know how to work the gears ;) My car has
For someone starting their car adventure, this is great, especially in winter. You can learn to drive (my first turn on ice ended in a spin =)) although you won't learn much about mechanics as the car barely breaks down (or maybe I got a good one). Only the sheet metal is suffering due to age, and quite a lot ;/ I have 21,000 km on the odometer, but I don't know what the number was before the '2' - nobody told me, and I zeroed it myself=)) Oh, and those comfortable seats =))) the best thing about this car.
