Octavia IV

Everything in this car is a nightmare. The driver's seat – the cushion sags so much you only sit on about 15 cm, on your pelvic bones. After a few minutes, you lose your senses as this creased, stretched, stiff upholstery digs into you and doesn't give at all. It's like sitting on a 12 cm wide wooden bench. The backrest is completely unshaped. Both the seat and your spine hurt. The only thing I thought about in this car was 'I want to escape.' Add to that this heavy, clattering engine.

Octavia IV: A Cool Car Plagued by Frustrating Glitches

The car is nice, but it's plagued by headaches. You can't drive it. Many people on FB have the same issues as me. Yesterday, I drove 400km on the May long weekend. Total mileage 3400km, car from 10.2024 (1.5 mHEV). Highway driving was fine, after 200km I stopped at a gas station. 10 minutes later, I returned to the car and couldn't open it. The mirrors wouldn't unfold. I managed to get in through the trunk with the key, opened it, and the alarm went off. I tried to start it, but it wouldn't start. The car now locks and unlocks but won't start, and there are tons of errors on the dashboard.

Octavia IV: A Refined Experience

This car is very new, everything works correctly, and it's an improvement over the Skoda Octavia III. Overall, it offers a sense of comfort, even though it's just an equipped Selection trim. I like the cockpit; even the base version features attractive designs with good, soft finishes. The armrest and side grips are finished with very good leather. The car has two cup holders in the center console, and a large bottle fits easily in the door pocket – a feature I appreciate every week.
