Rapid ii

A pretty neat car. It's fuel-efficient. With normal mixed driving, 6-6.5 liters is quite a realistic result. When driving economically, I usually get below 6 liters. The small engine also means lower insurance costs. Supposedly it has low engine power, but when you need to push it, the turbo does its job. It's a versatile car – works well in the city and is also suitable for longer journeys. I took it on a trip of over 1200 km with 5 people, and it wasn't a big drama. It was bearable. The armrest is annoying because

Pros: Fuel-efficient, Lower insurance costs, Versatile for city and travel, Turbo provides sufficient power when needed
Cons: Annoying armrest

Rapid II - A Lot of Car for the Money

Reading these unprofessional reviews makes one wonder who wrote them and why, and what they actually wanted to share. Summary: a lot of car for the money, spacious, very economical, no dual-mass flywheel, DPF never announced itself (on long trips), quiet and economical engine, yet sufficiently dynamic on the road (reaches 170 easily). Easily mistaken for an Octavia. Cons: turning radius and dipped headlights (not the brightest). No more cons – you'll love it.

Pros: Excellent value for money, Spacious interior, Very economical to run, No dual-mass flywheel, Trouble-free DPF on long trips, Quiet and efficient engine, Sufficiently dynamic, especially on highways
Cons: Large turning radius, Dipped headlights could be brighter

Rapid II: Reliable and Functional

A very good and functional car. In two years of ownership, absolutely no serious issues. The timing chain issue isn't as scary as it seems, provided you change the oil more often than the manufacturer recommends. For my Rapid, the authorized service handled it for 800 PLN, including replacing the chain tensioner and oil. The only drawback is that you can't open the window slightly in heavy rain, as water pours onto the window controls. A nice, trouble-free, and economical car in terms of running costs and fuel. Current model.

Pros: Very good and functional, No serious mechanical issues in 2 years, Economical on fuel and running costs, Reliable
Cons: Water enters the window controls when the window is slightly open in heavy rain

Rapid II

I bought the car in 2016 for 50,000. After 8 years of use, zero breakdowns. Zero rust (garaged). The engine is very dynamic for its parameters. The trunk is unbeatable. Average fuel consumption is 5.7 L/100km. Enough space. The car might be clunky, but it's enough for me, I don't have high expectations for utility vehicles. Ventilation is indeed poor; during rainy weather, fogging up the entire car is guaranteed. You need to use the AC. At 140 km/h in 6th gear, you can talk normally, it's bearable inside the car.

Pros: Zero breakdowns after 8 years, No rust (garaged), Dynamic engine, Unbeatable trunk space, Sufficient interior space, Quiet at high speeds
Cons: Clunky car design, Poor ventilation, prone to fogging, Requires AC for defogging
