Auris II
The car is very loud (soundproofing is probably the worst in its class). 132 hp feels like a joke. I have a heavy foot, and for my daily 50km commute on the highway, the average fuel consumption is 10L. In the city, it's at least 7.2L (Warsaw). On highways in Germany and France, it's 11.5L. The paint is soft, but still better than a Hyundai i30. I'm 190cm tall, and it's hard to find a good driving position. Very weak headlights (dark at night). The seats are comfortable, but all the foam was replaced under warranty due to squeaking. Other parts were also replaced under warranty.
Pros:
Comfortable seats (though foam was replaced), Paint better than some competitors
Cons:
Very noisy cabin, poor soundproofing, Underpowered engine (132 hp), High fuel consumption (10L highway, 7.2L city, 11.5L Germany/France highway), Soft paint, Difficult driving position for tall drivers (190cm), Weak headlights, Squeaky seat foam (replaced under warranty)

Auris II
Imported from France, bought from a dealer in 2024. Slightly damaged in front – repairs were done by the French owner. High trim for this model: touchscreen, cruise control, half-leather seats, sunroof, parking sensors. Further updates during use – I've driven 30,000 km so far. I usually drive alone or with one passenger. For holidays, I use a camping box for the trunk and a roof box. In summer 2024, I went on a holiday to Slovenia/Italy fully packed.
Pros:
High trim level for the model, Spacious for holidays with camping/roof boxes, Reliable on longer trips
Cons:
Minor front damage prior to purchase, Dealer purchase might be less transparent

The Auris so far is the best car among many I've used and owned. After 25,000 km in a year, many things surprised me compared to a Golf from the same year. The car is primarily louder, and many people on this forum wrote about the lack of soundproofing, which needs to be agreed with. On a recent trip from Silesia to Dubrovnik, the Auris allowed for calm conversation at highway speeds without raising our voices, and my wife and I didn't experience headaches.
Pros:
Best car owned so far, Comfortable for long-distance highway driving without raising voices, No headaches on long trips for driver or passenger
Cons:
Lacks soundproofing, noticeably louder than competitors

Auris II: Small on Space, Big on Drive
A very competent car. Unfortunately, the larger trunk came at the cost of very limited rear seat space. Even with a child in a car seat, I have to move the passenger seat forward to ensure comfort for that passenger. The Prius 3 had plenty of it. Noise insulation and drivetrain performance favor the Auris. The car is okay for comfortable city commuting, but unfortunately, for longer distances, passengers cannot find a comfortable position. Small for small people. At my height, no one can sit behind me in the second row.
Pros:
Excellent refinement and drivetrain, Good for city commuting
Cons:
Very cramped rear seat space, Limited rear legroom, even with child seats, Not ideal for long journeys due to rear seat comfort

Auris II: Reliable Daily Driver
In my opinion, this is the ideal car if you need a vehicle to simply get from point A to point B, not from workshop to workshop. I've driven this car 100,000 km so far and have spent less than €40 (stabilizer link, shock absorber bearing) on repairs. If you're looking for sporty thrills and suspension that soaks up every bump, this isn't the car for you. If you want to go where you want, cheaply, reliably, and occasionally haul something, this is it.
Pros:
Economical and reliable for daily commutes., Low maintenance costs over 100,000 km.
Cons:
Not suited for sporty driving or aggressive handling., Suspension may not absorb all road imperfections.

This is my second car after a 2008 Opel Corsa D. The difference is huge. Many people complain about carbon buildup or high fuel consumption. This is a MULTIPURPOSE car, made for the city and for the road! I drove it from the Tricity to Estonia and back, Sweden... If you drive it in the city for a long time, drive it on a longer route once a month and the car will live a long, long time. Very comfortable, more comfortable than the Corsa. And very economical on the road. I recommend it! :) P.S. The fact that it's a Toyota and famous for
Pros:
Very comfortable, Economical on the road, Multipurpose
Cons:
Potential for carbon buildup, High fuel consumption in city if not driven on long trips
