Bad - Corolla Verso II AR10

After 1 year of purchase, one afternoon with a temperature of 39° in Ivory Coast, the compressor failed completely. After analysis, the refrigeration specialist told me it was the compressor that took a hit. Personally, I don't understand how a compressor can take a hit. What is the lifecycle of a Toyota Corolla Verso compressor?

Toyota Corolla Verso II AR10 1.6 VVT-i (110 Hp) MPV Mileage unknown

Problem: Clutch

2005 Corolla Verso 1.6VVTI, 350,000km. Spacious, modular, comfortable. The essentials without the frills. Engine, lights... accessible for maintenance. Inexpensive to maintain. Indestructible vehicle. Original clutch after 3 "accompanied driving" periods. Steering radius not great. Engine too weak. Alternator and starter replaced.

Pros: Spacious, modular, comfortable, Essential features, no extras, Engine and lights easily accessible for maintenance, Low maintenance costs, Indestructible vehicle, Original clutch after extensive use
Cons: Poor turning radius, Underpowered engine, Alternator and starter replaced

Toyota Corolla Verso II AR10 1.6 VVT-i (110 Hp) MPV 155,000 km

Problem: Gearbox

The car starts very well. On 70-90 km/h sections, it's very economical. However, the plastic quality is poor, the engine torque is too weak, and the gearbox is much too short (2000 RPM in 5th gear for 70 km/h real speed!). It's also sensitive to wind.

Pros: Starts very well., Very economical at 70-90 km/h
Cons: Poor plastic quality, weak engine torque, gearbox too short (2000 RPM in 5th for 70 km/h real speed!). Sensitive to wind.

Toyota Corolla Verso II AR10 1.6 VVT-i (110 Hp) MPV 85,000 km

Problem: Clutch

The clutch is difficult to engage, making it hard to change gears. The Toyota service center indicated the clutch cable needs replacing, but it was not covered under warranty.

Pros: Reasonably well-equipped
Cons: Stiff gear shifting, Unable to shift gears, clutch cable needs replacement per Toyota service => not covered by warranty...
