Polo V Review

This car is very unassuming, able to surprise positively. It has flaws, but definitely more pros than cons. Despite its small windshield, the car is surprisingly spacious for its size. Outwardly, it looks much more expensive and newer than it is. Inside, despite being quite plastic, it is very comfortable. And so on. This car is made for...

Pros: Surprisingly spacious for its size., Looks more expensive/newer than it is., Very comfortable interior.
Cons: Small front windshield.

Polo V

I've owned this car since new (5 years). I switched from a Golf V 1.6 102 HP. The 1.2 16V 90 HP TSI engine is quite good. Loaded with two people and two bikes on the hitch, it still cruises smoothly, with effortless overtaking at highway speeds. The gearbox is well-tuned; at 140 km/h in 5th gear, it's at 3000-3200 RPM. Good torque from 1500 RPM allows for dynamic acceleration. It handles corners confidently, though not to the level of a Golf. Easy to park.

Pros: Good 1.2 16V 90 HP TSI engine, Smooth driving even when loaded, Effortless overtaking at highway speeds, Well-tuned gearbox with good torque, Confident cornering, Easy to park
Cons: Cornering not as sharp as a Golf

Polo V

I'll start by saying I had a weaker version of this engine (1.6 TDI, 75HP), but it's not on Autocentrum. A great, reliable car for those who don't expect thrilling driving. My version with cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, and DRLs was more than enough for me. Zero serious issues in two years. Very compact car, good handling, nice visibility. If needed, it didn't falter on longer trips either. If it had a bit more power and a bit more...

Pros: Great and reliable, Compact design, Good handling, Good visibility, Capable on longer trips
Cons: Engine power could be higher

Polo V Review

A very pleasant car. Small, incredibly neat, and agile, it's suitable for the city and for trips for 2 people (though there's little space in the back for more passengers). The soundproofing is quite nice, and the multimedia is very convenient to operate thanks to physical buttons; they work smoothly and without issues. We have the Lounge version where the seats are really comfortable, and the overall handling is very good. With the largest factory 16-inch rims, the car looks sporty, and it holds its line very well in corners.

Pros: Small, neat, and agile, Good for city and short trips (2 people), Pleasant soundproofing, Intuitive multimedia with physical buttons, Comfortable seats (Lounge version), Good handling and cornering stability
Cons: Limited rear passenger space
