Jetta v

DRAMATIC - That's the best word for this car. I bought the Jetta with 80,000km directly from the first owner, who serviced it at the authorized dealer until 2014 (68,000km). I knew the car's entire history. I thought it was a bullseye. I was wrong. Very wrong. Let's begin! Engine - Tragedy. Stretched timing chain, tensioner not holding pressure, possibly damaged variable valve timing actuator. Damn it! At this mileage? Especially since this isn't an isolated case. Does VW

Pros: Unknown
Cons: Timing chain issues, Variable valve timing problems, Engine reliability concerns

Jetta v

I had this car for 13 years and drove over 120,000 km. I sold it with a heavy heart. The engine might not have been the king of dynamics, but it made up for it with reliability. The car was generally trouble-free, the only thing that broke was the lambda sensor, which cost me around 500 PLN with labor. The running gear and road holding were sensational; the car handled confidently. The interior build quality was very good, nothing creaked or rattled. If someone is looking for a reliable car for a reasonable price...

Pros: Exceptional reliability, Great handling and road holding, Solid interior build quality, Reasonably priced
Cons: Engine not particularly dynamic
