Polo IV
I bought the car with high mileage and unstable idle. Mechanics wondered about the cause. I drove over 100,000 km on it until I finally bought 3 tested pump injectors, and the problem of unstable idle disappeared. Before that, I bought a new oil pump drive because the old one was rattling. After replacing the pump injectors, fuel consumption dropped drastically, emphasize drastically. Damaged pump injectors leak and the car consumes more but has a better kick. Performance dropped minimally. In the meantime, I replaced the steering rack.
Pros:
Drastically reduced fuel consumption, Improved engine performance after repair, Reliable after addressing key issues
Cons:
Original issue with unstable idle, Rattling oil pump drive, Previous wear and tear requiring repairs

Electronic Problem
Car has pleasant driving, good fuel economy and easy access to parts. However, it lacks a dashboard warning light for low beams and the glove box is too small for a road atlas. Rear lights also leaked.
Pros:
Very pleasant to drive, smooth and responsive., Low fuel consumption., Good accessibility (no tools needed for bulb changes, for example).
Cons:
No dashboard indicator for low beam headlights, only for high beams., Glove compartment too small for a road atlas., Rear lights leaked water.

Issue: Bearings
For now, none. Apart from wear parts, nothing to change. I know I'm lucky. On the highway, indeed if you're looking for 130 km/h, the engine is sluggish with high fuel consumption… classic for such a small engine. Upon purchase, wheel alignment was incorrect. Interior seat cables broken on both seats. Bearings need attention as they are starting to get noisy.
Pros:
It's a Volkswagen!!!
Cons:
No issues so far, only wear and tear., On the highway, the engine is underpowered at 130 km/h with high fuel consumption., Wheel alignment was off at purchase., Interior seat cables were broken on both seats., Wheel bearings are starting to become noisy and need replacement.

Problem: Power Steering
The car handles well, has a good size, and decent fuel economy. Maintenance is inexpensive, it's quiet in the city, and the power steering is very assisted, making it easy to drive. However, the interior is aging, the center console feels a bit cheap, and replacement interior parts are hard to find. The headlights leak water, and it's noisy at high RPMs on the highway. So far, no major issues.
Pros:
Handling, Size, Decent fuel economy, Inexpensive maintenance, Quiet in the city, Very assisted steering, Easy to handle
Cons:
Aging interior, Slightly low-end center console, Hard-to-find interior parts, Headlights that take on water, Noisy at high RPMs on the highway, No issues (yet)
