S80 II: A Great Car

I've been using my Volvo for almost 3 years now, covering 77,000 km. Overall, I'm very satisfied. The 'Moose' (nickname for Volvo) is a comfortable, convenient, and surprisingly economical car, despite the myths about Volvo maintenance costs. The build quality and interior materials are excellent. Only a few minor annoyances. Performance and fuel consumption are very satisfactory (in my opinion). S80 II: Excellent for long journeys

Great car for longer escapades. The seats, especially the front ones, make covering 800-1000km effortless, leaving you with a smile. The powerful engine feels made for highway speeds and is surprisingly fuel-efficient for the car's weight. I covered about 1100km in Germany in under 9 hours with an average of 7.9 l/100km. In the city, around 9l/100km. The turning circle isn't impressive, so it's better to park in reverse. Good build quality, very aesthetic.

S80 II: 5 Years, 100k km Review

This is my second comment, this time after 5 years and 100,000 km. I still think the car is comfortable and feels safe, although I haven't tested it. Power is generally sufficient, especially in sport mode, the gearbox is quick. The car is fuel-efficient. And that's where the positives end. Among the negatives, the suspension is not adapted for fast cornering, and the brakes are also unimpressive. The car heats up slowly in winter, despite having something called a [system].

S80 II: A Relaxed Cruiser

The 2.0 D4 181hp version is definitely for calm driving. While the performance from this engine is quite sufficient, the suspension distinctly commands a slower pace. In its segment (BMW 5, Audi A6, Mercedes E), the S80 is probably the most economical choice – maintenance costs are decent, e.g., a typical service kit (0w20 oil 6L; original 'Volvo' oil, air, fuel, and cabin filters) costs ~700 PLN. In my opinion, this car is like a Golf among E-segment vehicles.
