Volvo XC60 II T8: A Surprisingly Fun Hybrid
I've tested all premium plug-in hybrids, but only Volvo offers driving pleasure, especially my T8 version. Such performance is usually found in sports cars costing half a million, yet I managed to configure mine for half that price, despite a 10-month wait. If you want to show off, go to BMW or other premium brands, but you won't find such blistering acceleration there. The Volvo T8 is a rocket with true economy; on a hybrid journey, it consumes 2 to 5 liters per 100km. On a 500km highway trip, it uses around 9 liters.
Pros:
Thrilling driving experience, Exceptional acceleration for a hybrid, Impressive fuel economy (2-5 L/100km hybrid), Great value for performance
Cons:
Long waiting time for delivery (10 months), Not ideal for those seeking overt prestige

XC60 II
This is my 3rd Volvo, so I accept it with all its pros and cons. The car has been reasonably refined by the manufacturer over these few years. It has an interesting, versatile silhouette and good driving characteristics. It's comfortable and consumes fuel as you'd expect. Drives well. Materials are high quality, except for the doors (rough plastic) and seats. Precise assembly, rarely anything creaks. Good Harman sound system and functional Google Assistant. Lacks wireless Apple CarPlay. The car is aimed at people
Pros:
Comfortable ride, Good handling, Versatile design, High-quality materials (except doors/seats), Precise assembly, Good Harman audio, Functional Google Assistant, Fuel efficient
Cons:
Rough plastic on doors, Basic seats, No wireless Apple CarPlay

XC60 II: A Premium SUV with Mixed Feelings
Picked up the car from the dealership after switching from a 2012 Sharan 170 hp. I was looking for something smaller and was tempted by attractive financing. The car, for a premium class vehicle, evokes mixed feelings. Parking sensors are present but useless, the engine is quite loud when stationary, the automatic brake engages too abruptly, the blower is noticeably audible even on the 2nd speed, and the trim around the windows is loose. A plus is the dynamics despite 150 hp, but only in Dynamic mode, which needs to be reset constantly. Fuel consumption is low.
Pros:
Good dynamics despite 150 hp, Low fuel consumption
Cons:
Useless parking sensors, Noisy engine at idle, Abrupt automatic brake engagement, Noisy blower, Loose window trim

XC60 II: A Reliable and Comfortable Choice
Meets expectations, calm, quiet, and still reliable after 2 years. Fuel consumption is as expected, sometimes seeing 6s, sometimes 10s. Average 8.5l/100km. A few electronic glitches (not disabling) like the rearview camera shutting off or losing speaker sound twice. All resolved by turning the car on/off. The engine is very flexible, but the sluggish gearbox is a drawback. Avoid downshifts; acceleration is slower than with a gentle throttle input.
Pros:
Meets expectations, Calm and quiet ride, Reliable after 2 years, Flexible engine
Cons:
Occasional electronic glitches, Sluggish gearbox, Slow downshifts

XC60 II Review
I'll add my two cents because I was recently looking and wondering what to choose. This Volvo, in my opinion, is for people who no longer need to 'shout' and draw attention to themselves. It's for those who have grown up and know their worth. The 455 km range is a big plus, but how often will you use it? It gives you the confidence that dangerous situations, like overtaking a truck, are manageable and you won't endanger anyone. This is just an introduction. The power and acceleration provide immense driving pleasure.
Pros:
Impressive 455 km range, Abundant power and acceleration, Confidence in dangerous situations
Cons:
Range utility may be limited for some
