The Peugeot 107 (alongside the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1) is a cheap, cheerful city car with the excellent Toyota 1KR-FE engine that is practically bulletproof. However, the non-serviceable rear axle bearings can seize, causing the rear wheels to lean — a critical safety issue. The clutch cable is also known to snap without warning. If the axle is sound, it's a very reliable budget runabout.
