The Peugeot 207 1.6 HDi is economical and cheap to run, but this generation of the DV6 engine is plagued by expensive diesel-specific issues. Injector failure, DPF clogging on short trips, and turbocharger failure from a blocked oil feed pipe are all well-documented problems. This car demands careful maintenance and mostly highway use to stay reliable; repair costs can quickly exceed the car's value.
